Offence of carrying on unauthorised security activities
7 Offence of carrying on unauthorised security activities
(1) A person must not employ or provide persons to carry on security
activities unless: (a) the person is the holder of a master licence, and
(b)
the person employs or provides no more than the number of persons authorised
by the master licence.
Maximum penalty: (a) in the case of a
corporation-1,000 penalty units, or
(b) in the case of an individual-500
penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years, or both.
(2) A person must not
carry on a security activity (other than employing or providing persons to
carry on security activities) unless the person is the holder of a class 1
licence, class 2 licence or provisional licence that authorises the person to
carry on the security activity. Maximum penalty: 500 penalty units or
imprisonment for 2 years, or both.
