SECURITY INDUSTRY ACT 1997 - SECT 32
Advertising
32 Advertising
(1) A person must not advertise that the person carries on or is willing to
carry on any security activity referred to in the advertisement unless the
person is the holder of a master licence. Maximum penalty: (a) in the case of
a corporation-200 penalty units, or
(b) in the case of an individual-100
penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.
(2) A licensee must
ensure that any advertisement in relation to any security activity carried on
by the licensee contains the number of the licence. Maximum penalty: (a) in
the case of a corporation-200 penalty units, or
(b) in the case of an
individual-100 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.
(3) A
reference in this section to an advertisement includes a reference to any form
of notice or statement in the nature of an advertisement.
