STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE ACT 1989 - SECT 24R
Returns by owners of property
24R Returns by owners of property
(1) If an insurance company not authorised
under a law of the Commonwealth or of a State or Territory to carry on
insurance business holds a risk in respect of property within an area to which
this Act applies, the owner of the property must during September in each
year, or at such other time as the Director-General may direct and notify in
the Gazette, furnish a return to the Director-General.
(2) The return must
show the amount of the premiums paid by the owner in respect of the property
to the company during the previous financial year or such other period as the
Director-General may direct.
(3) A person who fails to lodge a return as
required by this section is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: 20 penalty
units.
