STOCK DISEASES ACT 1923 - SECT 8B
Suspected person to give name and place of residence
8B Suspected person to give name and place of residence
(1) An inspector who finds a person committing an offence against this Act or
a regulation or who finds a person whom, on reasonable grounds, the inspector
suspects of having committed or attempted to commit any such offence may
demand from the person his or her name and place of residence.
(2) Any person
who upon demand made under this section: (a) fails or refuses to state his or
her name or place of residence, or
(b) gives a false name or place of
residence,
is guilty of an offence. Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units.
