SOIL CONSERVATION ACT 1938 - SECT 5

5 Officers and employees

(1) The Governor may, under and subject to the Public Service Act 1979 , appoint and employ such officers and employees as may be necessary for the execution of this Act.

(2) For the purpose of this Act the Minister may, with the approval of the Minister of the department concerned, on such terms as may be arranged, make use of the services of any of the officers or employees of any Government department.

(3) For the purposes of this Act the Minister may, with the approval of the statutory corporation concerned, on such terms as may be arranged, make use of the services of any of the officers, employees or servants of any statutory corporation.

(4) The Commissioner may employ, and shall be deemed always to have had power to employ, such casual and general employees as the Commissioner considers necessary for the purposes of this Act.

(5) The Public Service Act 1979 does not apply, and shall be deemed never to have applied, to or in respect of the employment of casual and general employees by the Commissioner and a person is not, as such a casual or general employee, subject to that Act.
