Membership and procedure of Council
6 Membership and procedure of Council
(1) The Council consists of 13 members (being 12 elected members and the
Principal) each of whom must be a member, as determined by the Council, of an
approved church.
(2) The elected members must be elected in accordance with
the by-laws.
(3) At least 3 of the elected members must be ordained ministers
of an approved church.
(4) A person who is employed by the Council as a
member of the staff of the College is not entitled to be elected as a member.
(5) The quorum for a meeting of the Council is 5 members.
(6) A meeting at
which a quorum is present is competent to transact any business of the
Council.
(7) A decision supported by a majority of the votes cast at a
meeting of the Council at which a quorum is present is a decision of the
Council.
