SURVEYING ACT 2002 - SECT 11
Investigations
11 Investigations
(1) For the purpose of investigating a survey that has been carried out by a
registered surveyor, the Board: (a) may require the surveyor to produce, for
inspection by the Board, any field books or other documents relevant to the
conduct of the survey, and
(b) may carry out further surveys, and
(c) has a
registered surveyor’s functions under Part 4 with respect to entry on lands.
(2) The Board’s functions under subsection (1) are to be exercised: (a) by a
Board member who is a registered surveyor, or
(b) by some other
registered surveyor to whom the Board delegates the exercise of those
functions.
(3) Action may be taken under this section on the Board’s own
motion or as a consequence of a complaint made to the Board.
