ROAD TRANSPORT (HEAVY VEHICLES REGISTRATION CHARGES) ACT 1995 - SECT 26

26 Exemption for civil defence vehicles

(1) A vehicle (other than a government-owned vehicle) that while on a road or road related area is used solely for or in connection with civil defence work and is registered in the name of a body controlling that work is exempt from charges.

(2) The Minister may grant an exemption or partial exemption from charges in respect of any other vehicle (other than a government-owned vehicle) that while on a road or road related area is used solely for or in connection with civil defence work.
