98 Offences relating to registration
(1) A registered person must not contravene a condition or restriction of the
registration.
: Maximum penalty--
(a) in the case of an individual--$50 000;
(b) in the case of a body corporate--$500 000.
(2) A registered person must
ensure that the notice of registration, and any other document prescribed by
the national regulations for the purposes of this section, is available for
inspection--
(a) if the person is a body corporate--at the person's registered
office during ordinary business hours;
(b) if the person is not a body
corporate--at the person's principal place of business during ordinary
business hours (or, if the Regulator approves another place and time, at that
place and time).
: Maximum penalty--
(a) in the case of an individual--$5
000;
(b) in the case of a body corporate--$25 000.
(3) A person who is
required under subsection (2) to make available documents for inspection must
maintain a register of those documents for inspection.
