Irregularities concerning rates
79 Irregularities concerning rates
(1) The State Council may, with the approval of the Minister, extend the
period for a rate to be fixed or rate notice to be given if for any reason the
rate is not fixed, or rate notice is not given, within the period prescribed
by or under this Act.
(2) The State Council may, with the approval of the
Minister, authorise an authority to do any things that are necessary to cure
an irregularity and to validate a rate if any irregularity in fixing or
levying a rate affects, or may be considered to affect, the validity of any
rate.
