RURAL LANDS PROTECTION ACT 1998 - SECT 40
Dissolution of authorities
40 Dissolution of authorities
(1) An authority is dissolved if: (a) the district for which it is constituted
becomes wholly comprised within another district, or
(b) all parts of the
district for which it is constituted are wholly distributed among other
districts, or
(c) the district for which it is constituted is amalgamated
into one or more other districts, or
(d) the district for which it is
constituted is divided into 2 or more other districts, or
(e) the district
for which it is constituted is dissolved.
(2) On the day a proclamation
dissolving a district takes effect, the board of the authority of the district
ceases to exist and the directors of the board cease to hold office.
