Special condition requiring auctioneers to be accredited
21 Special condition requiring auctioneers to be accredited
(1) Every real estate agent’s licence and stock and station agent’s
licence is subject to the condition that the holder of the licence must not
act as an auctioneer unless the licensee is accredited as an auctioneer under
this section.
(2) The Director-General may accredit the holder of a
real estate agent’s licence or stock and station agent’s licence as an
auctioneer if the Director-General is satisfied that the holder has such
qualifications in connection with the conduct of auctions and the functions of
auctioneers as the Director-General may approve from time to time by order
published on the NSW legislation website.
(3) Without limiting the
Director-General’s power to approve qualifications, the Director-General may
approve qualifications by reference to any one or more of the following: (a)
the completion of a course of study,
(b) the completion of a period of
training in a particular activity,
(c) the attainment of a standard of
competency in a particular activity.
