PETROLEUM PRODUCTS SUBSIDY ACT 1997 - SECT 30

30 Proceedings for offences

(1) Proceedings for an offence against this Act or the regulations may be taken and dealt with before the Local Court or before the Supreme Court in its summary jurisdiction.

(2) The maximum monetary penalty that may be imposed by the Local Court in respect of an offence against this Act or the regulations is:

(a) 100 penalty units, or

(b) the maximum penalty provided by or under this Act for the offence concerned,

whichever is less.
