PORT KEMBLA INNER HARBOUR CONSTRUCTION AND AGREEMENT RATIFICATION ACT 1955 - SCHEDULE 1

SCHEDULE 1 – Description of works

Part One

The construction of an inner harbour at Port Kembla located generally on the site known as Tom Thumb’s Lagoon having an area of approximately 100 acres to a depth of 32 feet at Indian Spring Low Water together with a channel 350 feet wide between training walls to join the existing outer harbour to the proposed inner harbour, approximately 2,500 lineal feet of wharfage, road access thereto and other ancillary services and with all necessary works incidental thereto.

The whole of the work hereinbefore described shall be subject to such modifications and deviations as may be deemed necessary or desirable by the constructing authority.

Part Two

The construction of a railway from Coniston Marshalling Yards to the port boundary delineated on the plan.
