Form of party name on ballot papers
83I Form of party name on ballot papers
(1) Where a provision of this Act requires the name of the registered party to
be printed on ballot papers for use in an election: (a) the name to be so
printed is the name of the party entered in the Register of Parties under Part
4A, or
(b) if a request has been duly made under this Division for the
abbreviation of the name of the party to be so printed-the abbreviation to be
so printed is the abbreviation entered in the Register of Parties under Part
4A.
(2) The names of registered parties, or the abbreviations of such names,
printed adjacent to the names of candidates on ballot papers are to be printed
in capital letters in type that is uniform in size and style for all those
names or abbreviations.
(3) The names of registered parties, or the
abbreviations of such names, printed adjacent to group voting squares on
ballot papers are to be printed in capital letters in type that is uniform in
size and style for all those names or abbreviations.
