Untrue statements in forms
176D Untrue statements in forms
(1) Any person who knowingly makes any untrue statement in any
electoral paper, or in any information supplied to any officer for the
purposes of the preparation, maintenance, or revision of rolls, shall be
liable to a penalty not exceeding 10 penalty units or to imprisonment for a
period not exceeding 6 months, or both.
(2) Nothing in this section shall
affect the liability of any person to be proceeded against in respect of any
other offence, whether against this Act or otherwise, but so that he or she
shall not be liable to be punished more than once in respect of the same
offence.
