PLANT DISEASES ACT 1924 - SECT 9
Seizure of plants
9 Seizure of plants
(1) Any plant, fruit, covering, or other thing which is dealt with or disposed
of in any way contrary to any direction or prohibition contained in any
proclamation or any direction given by an inspector or in any way contrary to
an order or the regulations may be seized by an inspector and when so seized:
(a) is to be destroyed, or
(b) is to be dealt with in such other manner as
the Director-General directs.
(2) Any expense thereby incurred shall be
recoverable by an inspector in any court of competent jurisdiction from either
the owner or the person in charge of such plant, fruit, covering, or thing.
