Undertaking in prescribed cases
7 Undertaking in prescribed cases
(1) The Minister may, if the Minister thinks fit, instead of declaring land to
be a quarantine area, accept an undertaking, in a form approved by the
Director-General, given by the owner or occupier of the land to comply with
the requirements mentioned therein.
(2) Upon any such undertaking being
given, the land mentioned therein shall for the period therein specified be
deemed to be a quarantine area, and the person giving the undertaking shall
comply with all the terms and conditions thereof.
(3) The Minister may
release an owner or occupier of land from an undertaking given by the owner or
occupier and, upon that release, subsection (2) shall cease to have effect
with respect to that undertaking and the period referred to in that subsection
shall be deemed to have ended.
