PORTS AND MARITIME ADMINISTRATION ACT 1995 - SECT 36
Chief Executive of Authority
36 Chief Executive of Authority
(1) The Governor may appoint a Chief Executive of the Authority.
(2) The
employment of the Chief Executive is subject to Part 2A of the Public Sector
Management Act 1988 , but is not subject to Part 2 of that Act.
(3) The
Minister may, from time to time, appoint a person to act in the office of the
Chief Executive during the illness or absence of the Chief Executive (or
during a vacancy in the office of Chief Executive) and the person, while so
acting, has all the functions of the Chief Executive and is taken to be the
Chief Executive.
(4) The Minister may, at any time, remove a person from
office as acting Chief Executive.
(5) An acting Chief Executive is entitled
to be paid such remuneration (including travelling and subsistence allowances)
as the Minister may from time to time determine.
