PORTS AND MARITIME ADMINISTRATION ACT 1995 - SECT 17
Port safety assets, rights and liabilities
(1) The Minister may direct, by order in writing, that such port safety
assets, rights and liabilities of a Port Corporation, as are specified or
referred to in the order, be transferred to the Authority or to any other
person on behalf of the State.
(2) The port safety assets, rights and
liabilities are those designated as such when transferred to the
Port Corporation by order of the Minister under this Act or any other assets,
rights and liabilities that relate to the port safety functions of the
Port Corporation and are designated as such in the most recent statement of
corporate intent of the Port Corporation.
(3) An order under this section may
be made on such terms and conditions as are specified or referred to in the
order.
(4) Schedule 1 applies to an order under this section.
