(1) If a vessel damages any wharf, structure or fixed or movable property of
any kind vested in or in the possession of a relevant authority, the owner or
master of the vessel must pay to the relevant authority the costs and expenses
incurred in the repair and reinstatement of the wharf, structure or property
damaged.
(2) Any amount payable under subsection (1) that is not paid may be
recovered by the relevant authority as a debt in any court of competent
jurisdiction.
