98 District agents
(1) For the purpose of receiving applications for probate or administration
under this division, a person may be appointed, as provided by the rules, in
any town beyond 48 kilometres from Sydney, where the Local Court sits, to act
as district agent for the Registrar.
(2) Any person holding the office of
district registrar immediately prior to the commencement of the Supreme Court
Act 1970 shall be deemed to have been appointed as provided by the rules.
