(a) indicates the nature and extent of operations to be carried out under the
authority conferred by the relevant petroleum title, and
(b) sets out
commitments relating to the conduct of those operations (such as the timing of
the operations), and
(c) provides for the carrying out of activities (such as
community consultation and environmental management and rehabilitation) in
connection with, or ancillary to, those operations, and
(d) complies with the
regulations.
(2) In the case of an application for a production lease, the
requirement in subsection (1) can be satisfied by providing a current
development consent under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979
for the conduct of petroleum mining operations, or the construction and
maintenance of works or structures, in respect of which the production lease
is being applied for.
