94 Requirements as to citizenship
(1) A person is eligible to be appointed
as a member of the NSW Police Force only if the person is an Australian
citizen or a permanent Australian resident.
(2) A member of the
NSW Police Force who ceases to be so eligible (or is not so eligible) for
appointment as such a member is to be dismissed from the NSW Police Force.
(3) In this section,
"permanent Australian resident" means a person resident in Australia whose
continued presence in Australia is not subject to any limitation as to time
imposed by or in accordance with law.
(5) The Commissioner may exempt a
non-executive administrative officer from the operation of this section in any
case the Commissioner considers appropriate.
