Filling non-executive positions by either police officers or non-executive administrative employees
(1) If the Commissioner is satisfied that a position is suitable for either a
police officer or a non-executive administrative employee, the position may,
for the purpose of the selection process, be designated as a position
available to both police officers and non-executive administrative employees.
(2) Before a person is appointed to any such vacant position or vacant
specialist position, the Commissioner must determine whether it is to be the
position of a police officer or a non-executive administrative employee (and
the provisions of this Part or Part 6A relating to the filling of such a
vacancy apply accordingly).
