Appointment of inspectors (otherwise than in connection with mines or coal workplaces)
47 Appointment of inspectors (otherwise than in connection with mines or coal
workplaces)
(1) WorkCover may appoint as inspectors for the purposes of this Act and the
regulations any of the following persons: (a) a statutory officer,
(b) a
public servant,
(c) a person employed by a public or local authority,
(d) a
person belonging to a class of persons prescribed by the regulations.
(2) A
person appointed as an inspector under this section is not authorised to
exercise functions under this Act in relation to a mine or a coal workplace.
