OMBUDSMAN ACT 1974 - SECT 16
Notice of investigation
(1) Upon the Ombudsman deciding to make the conduct or police conduct of a
public authority the subject of an investigation under this Act, the Ombudsman
shall give notice of the decision: (a) where there is a complainant, to the
complainant,
(b) to the head of the public authority and, if practicable, to
the public authority, and
(c) as prescribed.
(2) A notice under this section
must be in writing, must describe the conduct or police conduct the subject of
the investigation and must, so far as practicable, identify the
public authority.
