NATIONAL TRUST OF AUSTRALIA (NEW SOUTH WALES) ACT 1990 - SECT 3
Definitions
3 Definitions
(1) In this Act:
"Board" means the board of directors of the Trust.
"director" means any director of the Board (including the Executive Director).
"Executive Director" means the executive director of the Board.
"rules" means rules made by the Trust and in force under this Act.
"special resolution" means a resolution of the Board: (a) passed at a meeting
of the Board of which not less than 21 days’ written notice specifying the
intention to propose the resolution as a special resolution has been duly
given to all directors of the Board, and
(b) passed by a majority of not less
than three-quarters of the directors of the Board present and entitled to vote
at the meeting.
"Trust" means The National Trust of Australia (New South Wales) established by
this Act.
(2) In this Act: (a) a reference to a function includes a reference
to a power, authority and duty, and
(b) a reference to the exercise of a
function includes, where the function is a duty, a reference to the
performance of the duty.
(3) Notes included in this Act do not form part of
this Act.
