NEW SOUTH WALES CRIME COMMISSION ACT 1985 - SECT 35
Service of documents
(1) For the purposes of this Act, service of a document on a person may be
effected: (a) on a natural person: (i) by delivering it to the person
personally, or
(ii) by leaving it at, or by sending it by pre-paid post to,
the residential or business address of the person last known to the person
serving the document, or
(b) on a body corporate-by leaving it at, or by
sending it by pre-paid post to, the head office, a registered office or a
principal office of the body corporate,
or in any other way in which service
could have been effected had this section not been enacted.
(2) In addition
to the means of service provided for under subsection (1), service of a
document on a person (whether a natural person or a body corporate) may be
effected by facsimile transmission or other electronic means notified by the
person as being an available means of communication.
(3) Service of a
facsimile copy of a document in accordance with subsection (1) is taken to be
service of the document for the purposes of that subsection.
