Meaning of “conservation priorities”
6 Meaning of “conservation priorities”
(1) For the purposes of this Act,
"conservation priorities" includes criteria for identifying land that is of
such significance, in relation to the conservation of cultural heritage or
natural heritage or both, as to warrant any one or more of the following: (a)
the making of a Trust agreement in respect of the land,
(b) the acquisition
and disposal of the land under the Revolving Fund Scheme,
(c) the provision
by the Trust of any assistance to the landholder in relation to the land.
(2)
Any conservation priorities of the Trust must be consistent with this Act (in
relation to Trust agreements).
