Obstruction or assault of authorised officers and others
97A Obstruction or assault of authorised officers and others
(1) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, prevent or obstruct any
authorised officer or other person in the exercise of a function under the
marine legislation.
(2) A person must not assault or threaten, or use abusive
language to, an authorised officer or other person in the exercise of a
function under the marine legislation, or cause any other person to do so.
(3) A person must not impersonate an authorised officer.
: Maximum
penalty--100 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months, or both.
