Power to make contracts for works to be carried out
13O Power to make contracts for works to be carried out
(1) The Board may enter into contracts with any person or with the Crown for
the execution of any work or the provision of any services authorised by this
Act to be done or provided by it or for furnishing materials or labour, or for
providing proper engines or other power, or for any other matters and things
whatsoever necessary for enabling it to carry the purposes of this Act into
full and complete effect, in such manner, and upon such terms, and for such
sum of money, and under such stipulations, regulations, and restrictions as
the Board may deem appropriate.
(2) The Board shall not carry out any work
referred to in section 13M (1) or (3) or section 13N (subsection (4)
excepted), other than work carried out in or in relation to the Ports of
Sydney, Newcastle, Port Kembla or Botany Bay, except under a contract entered
into pursuant to subsection (1) between the Board and the Minister for Public
Works.
