Offence to ill-treat patients69 Offence to ill-treat patients

An authorised medical officer, or any other person employed at a
mental health facility, must not wilfully strike, wound, ill-treat or neglect
a patient or person detained at the facility under this or any other Act.
: Maximum penalty--50 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months, or both.
