Interstate implementation of New South Wales orders
182 Interstate implementation of New South Wales orders
(1) A mental health facility of another State, or any person who provides
services on behalf of any such mental health facility, may treat a person
subject to a community treatment order in this State, and exercise any other
functions of a mental health facility under this Act or the
Mental Health (Forensic Provisions) Act 1990 , for the purposes of
implementing and enforcing the community treatment order.
(2) The regulations
may make provision for or with respect to the following matters: (a) the
bodies or places that are taken to be mental health facilities of another
State for the purposes of this section,
(b) when the treatment may be given
or functions may be exercised under subsection (1),
(c) the effect in this
State of a community treatment order being recognised by another State.
