MOTOR DEALERS ACT 1974 - SECT 10
Application to licences of Licensing and Registration (Uniform Procedures) Act 2002
(1) The Director-General may grant the following licences for the purposes of
this Act: (a) dealers’ licences,
(b) auto-dismantlers’ licences,
(c)
wholesalers’ licences,
(d) motor vehicle parts reconstructors’ licences,
(e) car market operators’ licences,
(f) motor vehicle consultants’
licences,
(g) prescribed dealers’ licences.
(2) Part 2 of the
Licensing and Registration (Uniform Procedures) Act 2002 (
"the applied Act") applies to and in respect of a licence, subject to the
modifications and limitations prescribed by or under this Act.
(3) For the
purpose of applying Part 2 of the applied Act to a licence: (a) the licence
may be amended under that Act, and
(b) an application for restoration of a
licence under section 10 of that Act may be made only in respect of a licence
that is cancelled under section 20 (7) of this Act, and any such application
may not be made more than 3 months after the date on which the licence is
cancelled.
(4) Subject to this section, the regulations may make provision
for or with respect to such matters concerning a licence as are relevant to
the operation of Part 2 of the applied Act.
