Bankruptcy laws not to affect liability under this Act
88 Bankruptcy laws not to affect liability under this Act
(1) No law now or hereafter to be in force for the relief of insolvent debtors
or for the abolition of imprisonment for debt shall extend to affect or
discharge from his liability any person who shall be charged with the payment
of alimony or who shall be indebted for any damages or costs adjudged against
him as respondent or co-respondent in any proceeding under this Act.
(2) This
section shall not be taken to repeal or affect the operation of any portion of
the Bankruptcy Act 1898 and shall be construed as if passed into law
immediately before the said Act.
