Minister may grant consolidated mining lease
98 Minister may grant consolidated mining lease
(1) After having complied with the requirements of this Part in respect of a
proposed lease, the Minister may grant to the holder of the existing leases a
consolidated mining lease in the same terms as those of the proposed lease.
(2) When a consolidated mining lease takes effect, each existing lease is
taken to have been cancelled.
(3) The granting of a consolidated mining lease
over land the subject of a mining lease in force by virtue of section 117 (1)
does not constitute a renewal of that lease.
