Compensation for cancellation of mineral claims
205 Compensation for cancellation of mineral claims
(1) The holder of a mineral claim is not entitled to compensation merely
because the claim is cancelled.
(2) However, if a mineral claim is cancelled
on the ground that the whole or any part of the land concerned is required for
a public purpose, the holder of the claim is entitled to compensation, of an
amount to be determined by the Secretary, for any mining improvements made to
the land.
