(1) A member of the Committee ceases to hold office:
(a) when the Legislative
Assembly is dissolved or expires by the effluxion of time,
(b) if the member
becomes a Minister of the Crown or a Parliamentary Secretary,
(c) if the
member ceases to be a member of the Legislative Council or Legislative
Assembly,
(d) if, being a member of the Legislative Council, the member
resigns the office by instrument in writing addressed to the President of the
Legislative Council,
(e) if, being a member of the Legislative Assembly, the
member resigns the office by instrument in writing addressed to the Speaker of
the Legislative Assembly, or
(f) if the member is discharged from office by
the House of Parliament to which the member belongs.
(2) Either House of
Parliament may appoint one of its members to fill a vacancy among the members
of the Committee appointed by that House.
