Disclosure of information to Australian Securities and Investments Commission
155 Disclosure of information to Australian Securities and Investments
Commission
(1) This section applies if the Law Society Council or the
Regulator, in connection with exercising functions under this Act, acquired
information concerning a corporation that is or was an
incorporated legal practice.
(2) The Law Society Council or the Regulator may
disclose to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission information
concerning the corporation that is relevant to the Commission’s functions.
(3) Information may be provided under subsection (2) despite any law relating
to secrecy or confidentiality, including any provisions of this Act.
