LEGAL PROFESSION ACT 2004 - SECT 169
Obligations of legal practitioner partner relating to misconduct
(1)
Each of the following is capable of being unsatisfactory professional conduct
or professional misconduct by a legal practitioner partner: (a)
unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct of an
Australian legal practitioner employed by the multi-disciplinary partnership,
(b) conduct of any other partner (not being an Australian legal practitioner)
of the multi-disciplinary partnership that adversely affects the provision of
legal services by the partnership,
(c) the unsuitability of any other partner
(not being an Australian legal practitioner) of the
multi-disciplinary partnership to be a member of a partnership that provides
legal services.
(2) A legal practitioner partner of a
multi-disciplinary partnership must ensure that all reasonable action
available to the legal practitioner partner is taken to deal with any
unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct of an
Australian legal practitioner employed by the partnership.
