639 Pollution of public water supply
(1) A person who wilfully or
negligently does any act which damages or pollutes (or is likely to damage or
pollute) a public water supply, or a source of that supply, is guilty of an
offence. Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) The occupier of premises on
which a pipe or fitting supplied with water from a public water supply is
directly connected to a device or fitting: (a) that is designed for use for
the dispensing of any chemical compound capable of contaminating the water

is
guilty of an offence as if the occupier were the person who actually made the
connection.
(3) Subsection (2) does not affect the liability of the person
