LEGAL AID COMMISSION ACT 1979 - SECT 29
Definition
29 Definition
(1) In this Part,
"application" means an application for legal aid made to the Commission.
(2)
In this Part, a reference: (a) to an applicant for legal aid is a reference to
a person on whose behalf legal aid is sought,
(c) to the ordinary
professional cost of a legal service is a reference to the usual cost of the
legal service if provided by a private legal practitioner, and
(d) in
relation to an application, to a party to proceedings, includes a reference to
a person who, in the opinion of the Commission, may become a party to
proceedings.
