Appointment of solicitor to be solicitor practising on own account
23A Appointment of solicitor to be solicitor practising on own account
(1) If the Chief Executive Officer does not hold a current
practising certificate, the Chief Executive Officer is to appoint one or more
persons to exercise the functions that would be exercisable by the
Chief Executive Officer under sections 24, 28 and 64A if he or she held a
current practising certificate.
(2) A person so appointed must be a member of
staff of the Commission who is a solicitor of appropriate seniority and
experience and who holds a current practising certificate.
