(1) A judicial officer has, in the performance of his or her duties as a
judicial officer (including ministerial duties), the same protection and
immunity as a Judge of the Supreme Court has in the performance of his or her
duties as a Judge.
(2) This section does not apply to a Judge of the Supreme
Court or to a Judge having the same status as a Judge of the Supreme Court.
