INDEPENDENT PRICING AND REGULATORY TRIBUNAL ACT 1992 - SECT 29
Regulations
29 Regulations
(1) The Governor may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, for or
with respect to any matter that by this Act is required or permitted to be
prescribed or that is necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying
out or giving effect to this Act.
(2) The regulations may make provision for
or with respect to the following matters: (a) fees,
(b) the procedure of the
Tribunal,
(c) the arbitration of disputes under Part 4A.
(3) The regulations
may require the payment of fees: (a) by recipients of services provided by the
Tribunal, or
(b) to meet the costs of the arbitration of access disputes
under Part 4A, or
(c) by a government agency, or members of an industry, to
which an investigation, report or determination by the Tribunal relates, to
meet the reasonable costs of the Tribunal with respect to the investigation,
report or determination.
(4) A regulation may create an offence punishable by
a penalty not exceeding 5 penalty units.
