INDEPENDENT PRICING AND REGULATORY TRIBUNAL ACT 1992 - SECT 19
Reports to be made public
19 Reports to be made public
(1) As soon as practicable after the Minister receives a report from the
Tribunal under this Part, the Minister is to arrange for copies of the report
to be made available for public inspection.
(2) However, if the Tribunal in
the special circumstances of the case recommends in its report that the public
release of the report, or part of the report, be delayed for a specified
period, subsection (1) applies to the report, or that part of the report, as
if the report were received by the Minister at the end of that period.
(3)
The arrangements under subsection (1) for making of copies of a report
available for public inspection are to include: (a) the tabling of a copy of
the report in each House of Parliament within 5 sitting days of the House, and
(b) the forwarding of a copy of the report, within 5 days of its receipt by
the Minister, to the Parliamentary Librarian to form part of the Parliamentary
Library’s collection, and
(c) the making of a copy of the report available
for public inspection at the office of the Tribunal during its ordinary hours
of business.
(4) Copies of the report are also to be made available for sale
at the principal office of the Government Information Service during its
ordinary hours of business.
