11 Investigations and reports by Tribunal-standing reference
(1) The Tribunal is to conduct investigations and make reports to the Minister
on the following matters: (a) the determination of the pricing for a
government monopoly service supplied by a government agency specified in
Schedule 1,
(b) a periodic review of pricing policies in respect of
government monopoly services supplied by such an agency.
(1A) Subsection (1)
does not extend to such services of a government agency specified in Schedule
1 as may be excluded in that Schedule for the agency.
(2) The regulations may
amend Schedule 1. An agency may not be added to Schedule 1 by the regulations
unless it is a government agency.
(3) The Tribunal is to conduct
investigations and make reports to the Minister on: (a) the determination of
the proportion of the costs of a distribution network service provider, as
referred to in section 25 (1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1995 , that the
distribution network service provider may require new customers to contribute,
and
(b) the determination of the proportion of the costs of a distribution
network service provider, as referred to in section 25 (2) of that Act, that
the distribution network service provider may require further new customers to
contribute, and
(c) the determination of the repayment, from any such
contributions, to existing customers who have previously contributed to such
costs, as referred to in section 25 (3) of that Act.
