INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT 1988 - SECT 41
Authority conferred by warrant
41 Authority conferred by warrant
(1) A search warrant authorises any member of the Police Force, or any other
person, named in the warrant: (a) to enter the premises, and
(b) to search
the premises for documents or other things connected with any matter that is
being investigated under this Act, and
(c) to seize any such documents or
other things found in or on the premises and deliver them to the Commission.
(2) A member of the Police Force, or a senior Commission investigator, named
in and executing a search warrant may search a person found in or on the
premises whom the member of the Police Force or senior Commission investigator
reasonably suspects of having a document or other thing mentioned in the
warrant.
(3) In this section:
"senior Commission investigator" means an officer of the Commission who is
designated by the Commissioner as a senior investigator and who is issued by
the Commissioner with means of identification as such a
senior Commission investigator.
