(1) The repeal by this Act of any Imperial enactment does not--
(a) revive
anything not in force or existing at the commencement of this Act,
(b) affect
the previous operation of any Imperial enactment so repealed or anything duly
done or suffered under any Imperial enactment so repealed,
(c) affect any
right, privilege, obligation, or liability acquired, accrued, or incurred
under any Imperial enactment so repealed,
(d) affect any penalty, forfeiture,
or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against any
Imperial enactment so repealed, or
(e) affect any investigation, legal
proceeding, or remedy in respect of any such right, privilege, obligation,
liability, penalty, forfeiture, or punishment as aforesaid,
and any such
investigation, legal proceeding, or remedy may be instituted, continued, or
enforced, and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed and
enforced, as if this Act had not been passed.
(2) The repeal by this Act of--
(a) The Imperial Act 43 Elizabeth Chapter 4 (The Charitable Uses Act 1601)
does not affect the established rules of law relating to charity,
(b) section
four of the Imperial Act 29 Charles II Chapter 3 (The Statute of Frauds 1677)
does not apply in relation to a promise or agreement made before the
commencement of this Act, and
(c) any other Imperial enactment does not
affect any rules of law or equity not enacted by the repealed enactment.
